Abdullah Majed Al Ali

Abdullah Majed Al Ali has been the Director General of the National Library and Archives of the UAE since 2021. He previously served as the Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre. He also held several key leadership positions in both the Libraries Sector at the Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Sheikh Zayed Book Award. He has overseen major cultural initiatives such as "Kalima", "Esdarat", and the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair. Likewise, he played an instrumental role in establishing the Qasr Al Watan Library. He is a member of several boards, including the Board of Trustees of Sheikh Zayed Book Award and the Scientific Committee of Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre. He currently chairs the Higher Committee of the "Sard Al Thahab" Award. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Arabic Language from Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities, a Master’s degree in Humanities from Ain Shams University, and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from UAE University.
